All Ours Inclusion Symposium 26
Tuesday June 16, 2026 9:45am - 11:00am AKDT
DESCRIPTION:
Root Cause Analysis is a structured approach for ensuring teams address the right problem rather than its symptoms. This one-hour session focuses on using equity-centered, SPED-relevant tools (e.g., problem statements, fishbone diagrams, and “5 Whys”) to uncover underlying system drivers impacting students with disabilities. Participants will learn how accurate problem identification leads to more effective, sustainable improvement.

OBJECTIVES:
Differentiate symptoms from root causes in special education challenges.  Use structured RCA tools to analyze SPED systems and practices.  Develop clear, actionable problem statements grounded in evidence and equity.
