Moving beyond "good job" to systematic, sustainable reinforcement practices
Tuesday June 16, 2026 12:40pm - 1:55pm AKDT
DESCRIPTION:
This session focuses on high-impact reinforcement practices that improve behavior quickly without relying on complex token systems or prizes. Participants will learn how to use natural and embedded reinforcers, behavior-specific praise, choice, and behavior momentum to strengthen positive behaviors in a way that feels sustainable for busy classrooms. Through practical examples and simple, ready-to-use strategies, educators will leave with a clear understanding of how to deliver reinforcement that truly works and supports long-term student success.

OBJECTIVES:
1. Participants will be able to identify practical reinforcement strategies that can be immediately implemented in classrooms.
2. Participants will learn how to apply simple strategies to fade reinforcement while maintaining positive behavior.
